The Stone Gods

Story here. --> captainsatellite.tumblr.com/po…

If you've been following me for awhile, you might have noticed the recurring subplot in the Owariverse of how much I owe :iconwanderingkotka:  for everything she has done for me in helping bring it to life.  This particular project (there is a companion piece that I will upload in a few days) is pretty much the culmination of that debt.  But let me explain what is going on with it.

If you follow K, you know she will often have "to do" lists on her page.  Several years ago, one of the entries on this list as far as her personal projects was something called "The Stone Gods."  What was unusual was "The Stone Gods" never came to fruition.  I may or may not have learned what it was intended to be (vague memories of looking through her sketchbook when I visited her), but "The Stone Gods" as K envisioned it never happened and was largely forgotten.

Except by me.  That title stuck with me and I'd often thought I could do something interesting using it as a springboard.  I decided this was going to be the year, and I WANTED to do this and its companion for K's birthday.  The stars didn't align for that to happen, but I still managed to get it done before year's end.

As you can imagine, this was a job and a half for me.  I'm proud of the results, imperfect though they might be.  Always learning, always evolving.

Thank you for the inspiration over the years, K! :heart:

Wow!  I never expected any of my note-to-self titles to live on in this way.  This is a tremendous piece and the story is everything I could have hoped for from an Owariverse romp with this title!

For what it's worth, the Stone Gods still exist, they just don't exist on the net.  (I keep a fair amount of my brain drippings analog only these days.)
